ST. LOUIS – An investigation is underway after a body was found Friday in the River Des Peres near south St. Louis.
The body was found in the river near the 4000 block of Germania Avenue in the Boulevard Heights neighborhood.
The St. Louis Fire Department and other EMS agencies have responded to the river.
Investigators have not yet identified the victim, and it’s unclear what led up to the body being found in the river. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department tells FOX 2 that its homicide division has not been requested to the river.
