The St. Louis City Police Department reports that the officer lost control of the vehicle, overcorrected, and collided with the bar. Following the accident, the bar owner was arrested by one of the responding officers after a confrontation. A lawsuit has been filed against the officer, alleging a history of abusive behavior towards civilians. Meanwhile, the bar owner faces two misdemeanor charges: fourth-degree assault and resisting arrest.

The police department has stated that they are fully cooperating with the circuit attorney’s office but cannot provide further comments due to the ongoing investigation.
