Woman shot at while driving in north St. Louis County

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – There was a large police presence near the North Hanley Metrolink station after a woman was shot while driving her car in north St. Louis County early Tuesday morning.

St. Louis County Police received a call for the shooting a little after 4:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say the shooting took place while the woman was travelling on North Hanley Road, near Link Avenue.

Police shut down North Hanley Road for more than an hour, taking pictures and putting out dozens of evidence markers.

According to police, an unidentified suspect outside the car fired the shot that struck the woman.

The woman is suffering from a non-life-threatening injury.
