ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Police Department arrested a man who allegedly robbed victims at gunpoint. According to court documents, Demarko Johnathan Goodin, 32, is accused of stealing a cell phone and approximately $800 in cash around July 23.
Police say two victims were inside their vehicle when they were approached by three individuals in a white Dodge pickup truck. The suspects robbed the victims at gunpoint and forced them to hand over their property. One of the victims was hit multiple times by one of the suspects.
The thieves also stole the victims’ vehicle. As the victims were running away, one of the thieves fired a gun at the victims, while the other two suspects drove away in the Dodge Ram.

One victim was able to track their phone. Officers arrived at the location where the phone was pinging and saw a vehicle similar to the stolen one. One of the thieves was standing by the vehicle, and another was inside it.
Goodin was inside the vehicle. The individual standing outside ran away from police and wasn’t caught, but Goodin was arrested. The gun found in the car with Goodin matched the caliber of shell casings found at the scene of the robbery.
Inside the vehicle, the stolen phone was also recovered. Goodin was placed in a lineup and identified by the victims.
Goodin is currently held on bond for robbery. He has a prior felony conviction for burglary.
