ST. LOUIS – Four officers were taken to the hospital after being exposed to a suspected narcotic found on a suspect.
The officers with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department were attempting a traffic stop on Wednesday afternoon in the city’s Walnut Park West neighborhood when the exposure occurred.
SLMPD say they were in pursuit of a BMW with an illegally tinted front windshield, no front vehicle license plate and driving at a high rate of speed.
When the police attempted to stop the BMW, the three suspects got out of the vehicle and ran from the police. After following them on foot, the police officers took all three suspects into custody. SLMPD says they were already convicted felons at the time of arrest.
