Man found shot in Bevo neighborhood: Police

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis police are asking for the public’s help to solve a shooting in south city early Sunday morning.

According to a spokesperson for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened around 5:40 a.m. in the 3900 block of Eichelberger Street, located in the Bevo neighborhood.

Officers found the victim, a 33-year-old man, bleeding profusely from a gunshot wound to his arm.

With EMS en route, police applied a tourniquet to slow the bleeding. Police said the victim, who was slipping in and out of consciousness, told the officers that a man in all dark clothing had shot him.

EMS brought the man to the hospital, where he’s listed in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
