O’FALLON, Mo. – A man faces criminal charges after he allegedly beat up a mechanic at a home in O’Fallon over a faulty car job.

The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged Damien White, 47, with second-degree assault and fourth-degree assault amid the investigation.

A public grand jury indictment was filed on July 11, though White’s charges date back to February 2024.

According to court documents obtained by FOX 2, White went to a home on Heather Drive and complained about automobile repair work that the mechanic completed for his wife. The mechanic refused to offer a refund for the work, which reportedly led to White attacking him.

White told authorities that he attempted to regain money for “unsatisfactory” auto repair and admitted to striking, but not kicking the mechanic, per court documents.

Court documents indicate the mechanic suffered a broken jaw, a possible broken nose and a concussion.

White has an arraignment hearing in this case scheduled for Aug. 8, according to Missouri court records.
