Woman dies, man hurt after Monday crash near Eureka

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A woman is left dead and a man is seriously injured after a crash forced both vehicles off the roadway Monday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that Sarah Webb, 44, was driving a Ford Focus when she made a left turn from southbound Route 109 and failed to yield to the truck traveling northbound.

MSHP says the crash happened around 5:25 a.m. Monday on northbound Missouri Route 109 and southbound Interstate 44, involving a 2010 Ford Focus and a 2000 Ford F350 truck.

Investigators say Webb struck the side of the truck and traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking a rock bluff. The truck overturned off the roadway and landed on its top.

Sarah Webb, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene after traveling off the roadway and striking the rock bluff.

A 42-year-old man driving the truck was transported to the nearest hospital and is facing serious injuries.
