ST. LOUIS – A Missouri Lottery player has won $3 million after purchasing a $30 scratch-off ticket named “$3,000,000 Spectacular” at the 7-Eleven located at 9866 Manchester Road in St. Louis.
In addition to the jackpot, the winner also secured a $500 prize from another scratch-off game, “Scratch Big, Win Big!”, where tickets cost $50 each.
The winner recounted the moment of realization, mentioning that he had to verify his win by asking the clerk to scan the ticket again. In the process, he inadvertently cut in front of another customer but later gave $200 each to the person and the clerk.
“I actually won $500 on a $50 ticket as well, and I gave the guy I got in front of $200 and the clerk $200,” the winner said.
With his newfound wealth, the winner intends to retire comfortably and contribute to his children’s college education.
The “$3,000,000 Spectacular” is part of Missouri Lottery’s $30 Scratchers game series. Players can also participate in the monthly “Scratch Big, Win Big!” drawing by entering eligible $30 and $50 Scratchers tickets into their My Lottery® Players Club accounts for a chance to win $500 cash.
