ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A Berkeley, Missouri, woman is due in court next month for trying to deposit a bad check worth six figures at a Clayton bank.

According to the Clayton Police Department’s probable cause statement, the incident took place on Aug. 11, 2023, at the Chase Bank at Forsyth Boulevard and South Hanley Road, in downtown Clayton.

Police received a report from Warex LLC that a check made payable to United Healthcare in the amount of $105,905 was intercepted and altered.

Investigators claim Tyrhonda Williams (age not provided) got the check and made it payable to herself and her company, Loc Lab Studio LLC.

Surveillance video at the bank shows a woman matching Williams’ description depositing the check, now in her name, at Chase Bank.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Williams with forgery. Williams was issued a criminal summons to appear in court on July 22.
