ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department officer was accidentally shot in the hand early Wednesday evening, according to police.
The incident occurred around 4 p.m., when the officer was providing instruction at the agency’s gun range while teaching another law enforcement department.
SLMPD said that the officer’s injury is not life-threatening.
Detectives will investigate the incident, officials said.
