ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones held her third State of the City address Tuesday evening. It is expected that she will announce seeking re-election sometime this week.

The mayor touched on several major topics facing the city, including how they will spend millions of dollars from the American Rescue Plan, the MetroLink expansion, and traffic safety.

But possibly the most notable topic she discussed was crime.

Jones also announced she plans to lift the city’s hiring freeze next Monday, which was put in place earlier this spring.
