EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. — A fatal shooting occurred at a McDonald’s on State Street near 25th at around 7 p.m. Wednesday in East St. Louis. Two people were shot during the incident. They were taken to the hospital, where one of the victims succumbed to their injuries.
Authorities are actively searching for the shooter, who remains at large as of this morning. Illinois State Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at ISP.CrimeTips@Illinois.gov. Witnesses can remain anonymous.
