Supreme Court rejects request to fast-track Trump immunity dispute

The U.S. Supreme Court rejected special counsel Jack Smith’s request to immediately decide if former president Donald Trump should receive immunity for his alleged attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election before the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
