UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. — A literacy initiative called #WeCantWait aims to improve children’s reading skills. The program, which emphasizes the importance of literacy, will offer opportunities for participants to become reading tutors.
The event will also provide information about $60,000 starting salaries for qualified teachers and behavioral support staff in classrooms. The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the University City Public Library located at 6701 Delmar Boulevard.
