Middle school teacher accused of statutory sodomy involving student

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A Berkeley man who teaches at Normandy Middle School was arrested Wednesday and charged with having inappropriate sexual contact with a student.

According to Captain Anthony Bilal, a Pagedale Police Department spokesman, the incidents occurred between March 1 and April 14, 2024.

On April 16, police took Christopher R. Daniels into custody for the crimes.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Daniels with five counts of statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy – person less than 14. Daniels is being held on a $500,000 cash-only bond.
