ST. CHARLES — Police are involved in a standoff near St. Charles City Hall. A FOX 2 news crew spotted officers at a parking structure for the county courthouse near North Monroe and Main Street.
A man appears to be locked in his car with a woman and has indicated to police that he has a gun. This appears to be a domestic dispute stemming from a court case.
The situation is in the bottom level of the parking garage. The police say that there is no danger to the public.
Calls started coming into the FOX 2 Newsroom about the incident at around 10:30 a.m. Police say no one has been shot. They are currently speaking with the suspect and negotiating a surrender.
