MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. — Today marks the grand opening of the Rawlings Experience at Westport Plaza in Maryland Heights, a new attraction set to delight baseball fans in St. Louis. The Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, having moved its headquarters here late last year, is introducing this interactive space where fans can immerse themselves in baseball culture.

Visitors can design their own bats, test various models in a unique bat fitting area, and even step into a batting cage equipped with cutting-edge technology that allows for custom bat fittings. The Hit Lab offers a chance to choose bats based on individual skill levels and playing style, and features a home run challenge and batting practice in simulations of famous stadiums, including one for St. Louis Cardinals fans.

Beyond the interactive elements, the Rawlings Experience serves as part museum with fascinating baseball artifacts, part design studio where custom gloves can be crafted with the help of experts, and part retail store offering exclusive baseball and softball gear. The grand opening event starts at 10:30 a.m. with notable appearances from baseball legends. Entry is free, inviting all to explore this unique blend of sports history, interactive technology, and custom gear.
