Smash-and-grab burglars hit Tower Grove South business

ST. LOUIS — A smash and grab in the city’s Tower Grove South neighborhood. Burglars broke the front door of the Girlfriend’s Boutique at Gravois and Bamberger.

“They took a whole bunch of designer T-shirts. A whole bunch of Jay’s. Breaking the window, took the cash register with money in it, and took a legal firearm. They were snatching stuff on the way out. You can see it on the camera,” said Brian Jones owner, Girlfriend’s Boutique.

The owner says break-ins are common in South St. Louis Plaza.
