ST. LOUIS – A chilly, midday darkness fell across North America as a total solar eclipse began its race across the continent. Sightseers and campers from across the country flocked to southern Missouri and Illinois to be in the path of totality for Monday’s solar eclipse. Traffic was much worse than anticipated and made it a race against the clock for some. FOX 2 had team coverage across the Show Me State and the Prairie State of this unique astronomical event.
