ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A St. Louis man is in custody following a January shooting in Glasgow Village.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department’s probable cause statement, the shooting happened around 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 18, in the 400 block of Cameron Road.

Police claim Anthony James Jarrail Hill Jr., 21, and others shot the victim several times. The victim suffered a brain bleed as well as a shattered arm and leg.

At the time, police believed Hill ran into a nearby vacant home and surrounded the residence. Law enforcement went inside the property around 10:30 p.m. that evening, but Hill was not there.

The victim told police the shooter used a black handgun with an extended magazine and a rubber band on the grip.

Investigators later recovered shell casings at the scene that matched firearms later found at a house where Hill had been. One of those guns was a black handgun with an extended magazine and a rubber band on the grip.

In late January, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Hill with first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Hill was served with an arrest warrant on April 4. He was jailed on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
