New allegations of child rape for St. Louis County man

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A man already accused of sexually assaulting an underage girl in Jefferson County is facing new charges in St. Louis County.

According to the Crestwood Police Department’s probable cause statement, this latest round of child sex crimes occurred between July 15 and Nov. 23, 2023.

Police claim Benjamin Sexton Jr. (age not provided) committed rape or sodomy against a 14-year-old girl. The victim also told investigators that Sexton made her smoke a white powder substance. The girl later tested positive for methamphetamine.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Sexton with three counts of second-degree statutory rape, three counts of second-degree statutory sodomy, and one count of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child. Sexton’s bond in this case was set at $500,000, cash-only.

Sexton already has 15 pending sexual assault-related charges in Jefferson County and is being investigated for the same crime in Eureka and Franklin County.
