ST. LOUIS — Gusty winds continue this morning. Winds may gust to 40 mph or higher by sunrise. A wind advisory has been issued for 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today.
Our next storm system is moving in. Rain showers have made their way to our westernmost counties here early this morning. The rain will expand in coverage and slowly work its way eastward through the day, likely to reach metro St. Louis by the lunch hour and the I-57 corridor by 5 p.m. Some lightning and thunder will be possible with the wave of wet weather.
It will be a beneficial rain, with widespread precipitation totals of 1″ or more expected. Temps will hold in the 50s most of the day. Rain is expected to continue into Monday night before we dry out early Tuesday morning.
Mostly cloudy and cool Tuesday, also still quite breezy, with highs near 50. will once again be near 60 and it’ll be very windy, with gusts reaching upwards of 40 mph. More sunshine and less windy on Wednesday, highs in the upper 40s. Sunny and warmer on Thursday and Friday
