HAZELWOOD, Mo. – Tuesday’s regular school board meeting for the Hazelwood Board of Education did not include any agenda items related to an off-campus fight on March 8.

One day earlier, statements were released by attorneys representing a teen whose medical prognosis remains uncertain and another teen who now faces criminal charges.

Following the incident, the district stated bullying and fighting in the community is an issue everyone needs to take ownership of and work towards resolutions.

A district spokesperson said district officials would not be commenting about the fight during Tuesday’s board meeting. The meeting included recognition of staff and community partnerships for enhancing the district’s career and technical education programs.

Regular board meetings include the opportunity for the public to comment. There were no public members who signed up to speak Tuesday.
