FARMINGTON, Mo. – Six sisters are aiming to set a Guinness World Record.

The siblings range in age from 88 to 101 years old, and their combined age is 570.

“Information has been sent to the Guinness Book of World Records and we think that we are the oldest living siblings in the United States,” Elma Jennings, the youngest of the six, said.

Two of the six sisters, Elma and Lorene, sat down with FOX 2 to talk about growing up with their siblings.

“We argued with one another,” Jennings said. “But siblings did that. We never stayed mad.”

Four sisters live in Farmington, MO; one lives in Columbia, MO; and the other is in Marion, OH. Missing from the equation is their oldest brother, Stanley, who died 21 years ago.

The group is still waiting for an answer from Guinness World Records on whether they are the oldest siblings in the country.

“Our mother always had a birthday picnic in July to celebrate our birthday, and we still do that today,” Jennings said.
