ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A Black Jack teenager is being charged in connection with the 2022 murder of another teen.

According to Sgt. Tracy Panus, a St. Louis County Police Department spokeswoman, the crime occurred on Dec. 21, 2022, in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 8300 block of Octavia Avenue in Jennings.

Officers responded to a shooting call just after 4:35 p.m. They found the body of Demond Tucker in the parking lot. He’d been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene. Tucker was 15.

Homicide detectives spoke with people in the area who described hearing gunshots and saw two young people pull Tucker from the back of a car and leave him in the parking lot.

Police claim Christopher Ford, now 17, and two other juveniles drove with Tucker to the parking lot and Ford was involved in the murder.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Ford with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. Ford was jailed on a $750,000 cash-only bond.
