ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis man is due in court next month to face child sex crime charges.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement, the crime happened sometime during 2019 in the 3900 block of Lee Avenue, located in the Fairground neighborhood.
Police claim Lorenzo Edwards, 35, had inappropriate sexual contact with a child at his residence.
The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office charged Edwards on March 4 with statutory sodomy and first-degree child molestation. Edwards posted bond on March 12. He’ll be under house arrest and must wear a GPS monitor until trial. Edwards is due in court in April.
