St. Louis weather from meteorologist Angela Hutti:

ST. LOUIS – A partly cloudy start to Monday with mild temperatures. We’ll start in the mid to upper-50s and warm into the upper 70s. The record high for March 4 is 79 and we could meet or beat that. Gusty winds that took a break overnight will pick back up through the day.

Expect a cold front that will bring showers and thunderstorms to the region Monday evening and night. Some of these storms may become strong to severe, with large hail being the main threat. The threat of storms will push south of metro St. Louis early Tuesday but the chance will linger in the southern communities into the afternoon. Then we’re set for wake-up temperatures in the mid-50s.

The rest of the week will be cooler than Monday, but still above normal for temperatures. Highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s. We’re watching for more widespread rain  and storm chances late Thursday into Friday.
