ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ill. — The 10th move over law crash of 2024 takes out an Illinois State Police cruiser in St. Clair County. It happened Friday night just before midnight on Interstate 64 eastbound near East St. Louis.
The trooper was inside the car blocking the far-right lane of traffic due to a prior incident in that area. When a Buick Lacrosse struck the squad car on the driver’s side rear, it was stationary and had the emergency lights on.
The trooper was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries but has been released. Billie Snively of Belleville was uninjured and charged with DUI and other charges.
