According to a release from the park, the $30 million ride is SDC’s largest investment to date for a single attraction.

The new Fire in the Hole is housed in a five-story, climate-controlled building and includes immersive scenes, onboard audio and enhanced digital displays. Riders will travel the 1,512-foot-long track at eight feet per second, making three drops and a final water splashdown.

SDC’s 2024 season begins March 9 just in time for Spring Break.
