Help needed identifying St. Louis bank robbery suspect

ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a man who is wanted for an attempted robbery at a bank.

On Feb. 20, a man entered the Regions Bank located at 4706 S Kingshighway Blvd. He indicated possessing a weapon with him, but he exited the building when employees refused to give him money, according to a release.

Allegedly, the man also tried to take another customer’s purse but was unsuccessful. He then fled the location afterwards.

Police described the suspect as a Black male, around 20-30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches, 155 pounds, with a buzz-cut hairstyle.

At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a black jacket over a black hooded sweatshirt, a green surgical mask, blue surgical gloves, and white shoes.
