SWANSEA, Ill. – Construction may have an impact on your commute if you use the Swansea Transit Center or Central West End MetroLink station.
The west stairway at the Central West End station will be closed this weekend for platform maintenance. It reopens Monday. The east entrance that connects with the metrobus will remain open.
The Swansea Transit Center began a multi-phase maintenance and enhancement project on Monday. It includes resurfacing the parking lot, replacing bus loops, and repairing sewer inlets.
The project is expected to wrap up by this summer.
