ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Police are searching for a suspect Wednesday morning after the city’s latest murder leaves one man dead.
This latest victim was gunned down right in the middle of a busy street. The police were receiving numerous calls from passersby in the area. On Wednesday morning, the investigation into the murder is still unfolding.
This all happened at Delmar and Clarendon in the Academy/Sherman Park neighborhood. That is in the city’s west end. Police got the call there about 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Authorities told FOX 2 that the victim was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released but authorities shared that he was an adult male in his 30s. At this point, the police say there are no suspects.
Homicides continue to be up in the city compared to last year. This is at least the 30th homicide so far this year in the city of St. Louis. Last year, at this time, there were 23.
