AT&T experiencing nationwide outages

ST. LOUIS – If you’re waking up Thursday morning with no phone service, you’re not alone. A nationwide outage affects tens of thousands of customers.

AT&T is the most impacted, but Verizon and T-Mobile are also reporting outages. According to DownDetector.com, about 40,000 customers were without service at the peak of the outage around 3:30 a.m.

FOX 2 has reached out to emergency services in the area. They say they’re working through two-way radios and are functioning normally right now.

If you need help from first responders, you should still be able to call 911, even if your phone is in SOS mode. The number of outages is slowly dropping. AT&T has not commented on the outage.
