MADISON COUNTY, Ill. – Emergency crews are responding to tractor-trailer crashes on Interstate 55.
Our Bommarito Automotive Group SkyFOX helicopter is flying over the area located on the eastbound and northbound lanes of I-55/70 between Collinsville and Maryville, where the damage from the two semi trucks can still be seen. Flames did break out in one of the trucks, but fire crews were able to put out the fire.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, and so far, no injuries have been reported. Drivers are urged to take an alternate route.
