ST. LOUIS – It’s a big week in St. Louis Cardinals baseball. We’ve finally made it to spring training. Pitchers and catchers arrived just days ago, and the rest of the team isn’t too far behind.
The new season marks a fresh start for the Cardinals after an uncharacteristic 2023 season. It was the team’s first losing season in 15 years and one of their worst finishes in decades. The Cardinals are looking to turn the page.
Initial reports from spring training have been mostly positive for the Cardinals. There haven’t been any unforeseen injuries. Many new pitchers are building chemistry with experienced battery mate Willson Contreras. And internally, the clubhouse seems motivated for a bounce back season.
