ST. LOUIS — Westminster Christian Academy found a creative way to honor and celebrate their annual “We Are One Black History Event” by centering it around the theme of the National Negro League.

The school marked Black History Month by organizing a living museum of Negro League baseball players and hosting a conversation with the president of the Negro League Museum. The aim was to bring together people of all races to appreciate the history of the National Negro League.

Bob Kendrick, who leads the museum, emphasized the importance of preserving the rich history of African American baseball, as it is the only museum in the world dedicated to this purpose.

The students at Westminster Christian Academy dressed up in authentic Negro League uniforms and portrayed notable players such as James Cool, Papa Bell, Josh Paige, and others. Many of the students expressed their excitement about hearing from Kendrick during the event.
