St. Louis weather from meteorologist Angela Hutti:

ST. LOUIS – A fast hit of rain showers is moving in early Thursday morning. There have even been some flashes of lightning.

These showers are along a cold front and are out of here by 7:00 a.m. Behind that front, we get gradually colder. Expect highs in the low to mid-50s on Thursday with clearing skies. Clouds return overnight and temperatures fall into the low to mid-30s by sunrise Friday.

It’s set to be a cloudy, breezy, and colder Friday, with light snow on the way. Snow is likely along and north of Interstate 70, with more of a rain and snow mix expected farther south. Onset time looks to be just after the busy morning commute and continuing into the afternoon before ending during the evening commute.

Snowfall amounts will be tempered just above freezing air temperatures and by warm ground temperatures thanks to the recent stretch of warm weather. However, it still looks like there could be 1” to 2” inches of snow along and north of I-70, including the northern part of the St. Louis metro on both sides of the river.

Skies will clear out Friday night. Wake-up temps Saturday morning will be in the low 20s. We’ll see a sunny but cold and breezy day on Saturday, with highs in the low to mid 30s. We warm up again on Sunday and Monday.
