ST. LOUIS – A Jefferson County man is accused of breaking into a St. Louis woman’s home three times in one night and beating up another man inside the residence each time.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement, the break-ins occurred on the night of February 4 and the early morning hours of February 5, in the 3400 block of Miami Street, in the city’s Gravois Park neighborhood.

Around 9:40 p.m. on February 4, police claim Thomas Ward Power entered the woman’s apartment without permission and assaulted a man who was there with her. Power left and returned at 1:20 a.m. the next morning, stole the woman’s cellphone, and attacked the same man again. Power left and returned a third time at 4:35 a.m. He beat up the man in the woman’s apartment and then broke the woman’s television before leaving for good.

Police eventually located and arrested Power.

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office charged Power, 35, with three counts of fourth-degree assault, three counts of first-degree trespassing, one count of stealing, and one count of second-degree property damage.
