ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A Jennings man was sentenced last week in St. Louis County Circuit Court for a 2020 triple shooting that injured two people and left a third person dead.

The shooting occurred around 4:20 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, at the intersection of Candle Light Lane and North Lindbergh Boulevard in Hazelwood.

Police arrived to find three people had been shot. One victim, Terry St. John, was pronounced dead at the scene. A fourth victim was unharmed.

The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis was activated to assist in the investigation.

Police determined that St. John and the other victims were inside a car when another vehicle pulled up next to them and someone in that second car opened fire.

Days later, Quincey Haulcy was arrested and charged in connection with the shooting.

Haulcy was initially charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of first-degree assault, one count of attempted first-degree assault, and five counts of armed criminal action.

However, Haulcy reached a plea agreement with the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. On Jan. 16, 2024, Haulcy pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of second-degree murder and the other counts, while prosecutors dropped the armed criminal action charges.

A judge sentenced Haulcy, 25, to life in prison on the murder charge, 10 years for each assault charge, 10 years for attempted assault, and 15 years for unlawful use of a weapon. The sentences will run concurrently.
