CREVE COEUR, Mo. – Road crews are on alert Monday morning for whatever Mother Nature might throw our way.

All is quiet in the area now but it could be a different story later in the morning outside of the MoDOT yard, just off Ballas and Highway 40. The latest we have from MoDOT is that they plan to have crews start working 12-hour shifts starting at 7:00 a.m.

MoDOT officials say crews will treat the roads as necessary to clear any winter precipitation that may accumulate. A release from MoDOT authorities says that they are keeping a close eye on the weather forecast and are prepared to handle any winter weather that might hit the area.

In conversations with MoDOT and IDOT Monday morning, there is not much at all happening with crews on either side of the river at this point. It seems this could be a situation where crews will have to wait and see what unfolds as the storm moves closer.
