ST. LOUIS — The Mardi Gras weekend begins Friday night with the 22nd annual Mayor’s Ball at Union Station. It’s a benefit for community improvement grants for Soulard and Downtown.

Blair Ledet is emceeing the event, along with FOX 2’s Chelsea Haynes. There’s also an afterparty, helping St. Louis students pay for college.

The Mayor’s Ball, heralded as the “social event of the season” by ALIVE Magazine and the Riverfront Times, is the premier gala event of Mardi Gras. It stands out for its elegant setting, fine cuisine, cocktails, and a diverse array of entertainment, including music by the Playadors and Red and Black Brass Band, pancake art, body art with a Glitter Bar STL, sketch artists, a Megalux 360 Photobooth, and much more.

The Mardi Gras Foundation organized this charitable event to support community grants benefiting the Soulard and Downtown areas, continuing a tradition of positive impact since 2003.
