ST. LOUIS — One more warm day to enjoy, with partly cloudy skies and less wind than Thursday. Highs will be around 70. Our record high is 75. A cold front Friday night will bring scattered rain showers after 10 p.m. Any rain is out of here before sunrise.
The front’s passage opens the door to colder air. Saturday looks good for Mardi Gras celebrations, just not as warm. Highs will be back down around 50. We’ll wake up Sunday in the low 30s.
Sunday’s top temps will be in the 40s with rain showers developing late in the day. As colder wraps in on the backside of that storm, it looks like we will see a changeover to wet snow as the storm pulls away late Sunday night into Monday morning. Air temps may stay just above freezing and ground temperatures will be warm. But, if we get higher snowfall rates, we could overcome that. This is a watcher for those headed home from Super Bowl parties and for the Monday morning commute.
