EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – Union workers at SIU Edwardsville plan a ‘Day of Action’ Thursday.
They’re upset about low wages and staffing shortages. They’ve been working without a contract since their old deal expired in June 2022.
The head of the Illinois AFLCIO will talk with the university’s board of trustees Thursday night. Union workers plan a rally outside a gala fundraiser for the school at the Chase Park Plaza hotel.
