ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis professional sports scene will come pretty close to its own definition of a sports equinox on one occasion this year.

On Saturday, April 6, all four of St. Louis’ professional sports teams will be engaged in meaningful regular-season games.

The St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis CITY SC, and St. Louis Battlehawks will all host home games on April 6, while the St. Louis Blues will play on the road.

It’s the only time all year during which all four of St. Louis’ professional sports teams play on the same day that also consists of multiple games scheduled downtown.

Here’s a breakdown of the action-packed sports day:

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Miami Marlins (1:15 p.m. CT) at Busch Stadium

St. Louis Blues vs. San Jose Sharks (5 p.m. CT) at SAP Center (San Jose)

St. Louis Battlehawks vs. Arlington Renegades (7 p.m. CT) at Dome At America’s Center

St. Louis CITY SC vs. FC Dallas (7:30 p.m. CT) at CITYPARK

In theory, if you wanted to make the most of this day, you could attend the Cardinals game in the afternoon, then either the Battlehawks or CITY game in the evening. When the time comes around, there will likely be tens of thousands attending each game.

All four teams will also be in action for regular-season games on Saturday, March 30. It will be the first series for the Cardinals and the first game for the Battlehawks. CITY will be about one month into their season, while the Blues could be pushing for a playoff spot at that point.

Unless the Blues make playoffs, or their next regular season schedule aligns with a Cardinals postseason run, there aren’t any other days this year where there will be more than two sporting events in downtown St. Louis on any particular day.

Strangely enough, the Battlehawks first four home games also fall on days when the Cardinals are playing in St. Louis. For those hoping to plan a MLB-UFL doubleheader, you could probably make that work on any of April 6, May 4 or May 18 based on the times both teams play.
