17-year-old inmate escapes St. Louis Juvenile Detention Center

ST. LOUIS – An inmate escaped from the St. Louis City Juvenile Detention Center around 5:30 p.m. on February 3. Once the inmate had escaped, the St. Louis police were alerted. As the inmate is 17 years old, no physical description can be released.

He has been held at the detention center since December 8 on charges of second-degree murder and first-degree assault stemming from a homicide on October 24, 2023, in the 4200 block of Shreve Avenue.
