ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Election officials say voters cast more than 15,000 ballots in St. Louis County on Tuesday, the first day of no-excuse in-person absentee voting for the 2024 general election.
The St. Louis County Board of Elections reports that there were 15,273 ballots no-excuse in-person absentee ballots cast on Tuesday.
There were 14 polling places collecting such ballots on Tuesday. Voter turnout was highest at the St. Louis County Board of Elections site in St. Ann, Missouri with 1,807 voters.
In addition to the no-excuse in-person absentee voting ballots, the St. Louis County Board of Elections reports that 7,764 absentee voters with an excuse cast a ballot between Sept. 24 and Oct. 21. This is a different process than absentee no-excuse voting.
The St. Louis County Board of Elections also reports it has received 15,729 absentee voting ballots by mail as of Tuesday.
