1 man killed in Sunday morning collision at New Halls Ferry and Dunn

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A man died Sunday morning in a collision at a busy north St. Louis County intersection.

According to Sgt. Tracy Panus, a spokeswoman for the St. Louis County Police Department, the crash occurred just after 8:25 a.m. at New Halls Ferry and Dunn roads, just north of the Interstate 70 overpass.

Police claim two vehicles were involved: a Toyota Corolla and a Ford F-250. The Corolla was traveling southbound on New Halls Ferry, while the F-250 was headed northbound.

The driver of the Ford F-250 was turning west onto Dunn when the vehicles struck one another.

Police said the driver of the Toyota was rushed to a local hospital but later died of his injuries. The driver of the F-250 was not injured.

There were no passengers in either vehicle, Panus said.

Police have not released the name of the victim, pending notification of family members.
